HOW BRIDGING BARRIERS CONNECT WORKS
1. Create your profile
Tell us about yourself, your experience, education, interests, availability and the types of support you are comfortable providing.
2. Share what you can offer
Be clear about your skills, training, experience, preferred age groups and any limitations.
3. Connect with families
Explore opportunities to connect with families whose needs and schedules may align with your availability and experience.
4. Discuss arrangements
Communicate with families to understand their expectations, responsibilities, schedules and compensation before agreeing to provide support.
5. Build meaningful connections
Develop relationships that can make a positive difference for both you and the families you support.
A COMMUNITY BUILT ON TRUST
We recognize that inviting someone into your home and trusting them with your child is a significant decision.
Bridging Barriers Connect is designed to make it easier for families and caregivers to find one another, share information and explore potential connections.
All caregivers are responsible for accurately representing their experience, qualifications and abilities. Families should review relevant references, screening information, training and suitability before making arrangements.
Creating a profile does not automatically qualify someone to provide every type of respite or care. Some responsibilities require specific qualifications, training or additional screening.
Bridging Barriers Connect facilitates connections. Care arrangements, employment terms, compensation and responsibilities are discussed and agreed upon directly between families and caregivers.
READY TO GET STARTED?
Whether you're building your future career, bringing years of experience or looking for a meaningful way to support families, we'd love to have you explore the opportunities available through Bridging Barriers Connect.
Your time, experience and willingness to make a difference could mean more than you realize to a family looking for support.

Bridging Barriers Connect does not manage services or outcomes. Families and respite providers connect with eachother directly.
